Welcome to the new design of

I hope you enjoy reading the novels as well as viewing Falling-Roses.com as much as I have enjoyed creating it and sharing it with you all. At this point I'm not sure what I love more: writing or webbing, or creating games and slideshows. My passion is here where there are free animated graphics and free mp3 midi's and my love for Falling Roses. Take whatever images or sounds you like by dragging them onto your desktop. To the best of my knowledge, these graphics and music are considered "public domain" or "shareware." If this is not the case please notify me and I will remove the item immediately. You may not link to any of the images or the music on the Falling Roses website. For music, that's what right click, save as is for. I love change, so unfortunately even my banners on the link-a-dink page may be linked differently than in the past. Some pages with my own copyrighted material are not right clickable.  Thank you for viewing and come back often.

Falling Roses: Lost in the Rain

Drew noticed the look on her face. The pinkness of her cheeks was fading to pale. "Are you afraid of me?" he asked Sophie sincerely.

"I'm deathly afraid of your closet."

"Hmm," he pondered. "I hope you're not afraid of zippers."

    Pop! Pop! Pop! Pop!

In front of where he stood, bullets hit the roadway. Automatically, he shot off a round, then ran into the Tuscan; handed the rifle to her. "Shit!" As he pressed on the gas, he pulled the door close and sped off along the shoulder to the road.

    "Seatbelt!"

He yanked it over his chest.

She took the belt from his hand and clicked the buckle into the base.

When he turned his head to view her, he noticed her smiling expression. "Why the hell you smiling?" he asked her. "I could've been killed."

"I'm not insane, but you are." She giggled.

She had entered through the side way of the abandoned auto garage. Flipping the night scopes down over her eyes, her vision adjusted to the black and green display. Through the goggles, she viewed him sitting in a metallic chair bolted to the floor with his head hanging low and eyes closed. His right eyelid was swollen, bruised, and puffed up three-fold. Purposely, she dug her rubber-soled shoe onto the glass and forced a crunching step.

"What took you so long?" he asked, with one eyelid slowly opening and his head rising.

"I got lost in the rain."

"Stopped for a veggie burger, eh?"

    "Yes, and that too."
