Fire Department Secretary, Rosemarie Piemonte wrote her first novel Falling Roses and published with AuthorHouse™. "It's a different type of romance novel," Piemonte says. "Expect the unexpected."

Falling Roses expands on five years of a young girl's life (Gabrielle Newtonendie) who runs away from home. While walking on a sidewalk, searching for a payphone to call her father, Gabrielle is hit by a drunk driver in Chicago. The book launches while Gabrielle is in a coma.

After two months, she awakes to her favorite celebrity (Johnny Ravolie) sitting beside her. Before Johnny is able to ask Gabrielle to come home with him to Long Island, New York, his ex-girlfriend with mob affiliations (Bernadette Malone) makes threats. After Malone receives word that Gabrielle not only lives with Johnny, but also is pregnant with his baby, Gabrielle is kidnapped.

Although Falling Roses is a book of drama, suspense, secret baby, and love triangle all wrapped into one, it is primarily a women's romance. Some content may not be suitable for younger readers.

What happens when your mother dies and twelve years later, you find her at a psychiatric hospital? You kidnap her and bring her home to dad. That’s what Jackie Ravolie and her half-brother Robbie Shedel decide to do.

What does dad decide, after he closes the refrigerator door and finds his dead wife standing there? Believing that she’s just a hallucination, John talks to her.

After proving to the world that Gabrielle Ravolie is indeed alive, the mob chosen to carry out Bernadette Malone’s vengeance prepares to avenge her death. But this time, they’re going to try without Claycondine.

What will happen to the Ravolie and the Shedel family next? And whom will John seek out this time to keep the love of his life alive?

In the sequel to FALLING ROSES (AuthorHouse, 2005) FALLING ROSES: THE YEARS BETWEEN has more romance, suspense, drama, a secret baby, and a few love triangles all wrapped into one.

FALLING ROSES: THE YEARS BETWEEN is primarily a Romance.

"Rosemarie Piemonte pens an exciting romantic thriller with her first novel, Falling Roses. A teenager gets hit by a car and spends two months in a coma. A rock star visits the hospital to visit sick children and becomes enamored with this comatose beauty. The fairytale comes true, albeit with some deadly twists and turns. Roses characters have depth, warmth, charm, and plenty of rock and roll. If it weren't for the doings of the evil Bernadette and her wacko half brother, Johnny and Gabrielle could live happily ever after. You'll have to read the book to find out more! Enjoy the journey..." — Cynthia Brian, Media Coach, Writer, Author, Speaker, TV/Radio Personality, Spokesperson

"I feel like I know Gabrielle so well. I’ve been through every experience she’s been through. I laughed with her, I cried with her. I was with her when she had her first sexual experience. When she had her children. When she was kidnapped. When I wrote the last chapter of Falling Roses, I was bawling while my fingers kept moving and the movie played in my head."
